You could do a hell of a lot worse. and in 21Dog's words... the man DOES play bigger than his metrics.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
in that: it's coming. I don't know if the O can snap out of the doldrums... but I truly do believe our D steps it up BIG time.... and that from a pretty darned good start.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
I don't think I've ever seen a more determined and ferocious RB than McCaffrey IN COLLEGE... and yes, no need to tell me that College does NOT necessarily translate to the NFL. I lean, admittedly, to players with 'heart'.. and McCaffrey has as big a heart as I've ever seen...... BUT... injuries!!! The injury worries me, a LOT.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
they insist that Tyson was the greatest ever.... heavyweight that is. My guess is that most of you will agree since he was more of 'your' era. I would choose one of 'my' era... which is no different than YOU except, I'd be right. :laughing Well, actually... That's true but I think I have more to go on than just 'my era'. Ali was fast... and not just 'fast' but otherworldly fast. IN Hby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
i saw most major boxing matches back then... which included Tyson... but never bought PPV... how in the hell did I watch them? I can't remember.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
sign anyone you can get currently in the Niners organization..... Even if he's on the practice squad he'll be a starter. Ok, only semi-serious... well, a bit more than "semi". - JamesJMby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
This won't go over AT ALL with the anti-boxing crowd.... no doubt about it... but I'm not going there.... There was a time when boxing, for me, was second only to football. I lost interest because of the squabble's over money... WBF, WBA, WBO, IBF... the list is longer than your arm and the combined arm lengths existing in the state of Utah. The squabbles essentially killed the sport.. .by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
before making mine... yeah. that guy is NOT big.... Actually I'm not as concerned with size as much as how I read the board consensus.... but still.... gotta scratch my head on this one.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
I didn't do any due diligence here but isn't this guy smaller than any RB we have? Isn't that PRECISELY what everyone of the board does NOT want?by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
We have 3 indoors cats. I went from not a single 'house-cat' in my life to a house ruled by cats. do I like that? Well.. allow me to say first - I am NOT a cat person... BUT... I do like cats. I'm not anti-cat by any means although I DO prefer them outdoors. HOWEVER.... I live in a field... and this time of the year is 'mouse-season'. In the last two days my 3 indoors cats have caughtby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
Ain't a chance in HELL Dell is fitting into that Jersey. :laughing I think when the school ordered them they didn't have a DI football lineman in mind. :laughingby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
that's fixable. Aker's may not be done. Done with the Rams, for sure, but not done.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
What is standard height for those poles? 30', maybe 40'? That's one hell of a lot of snow. I cannot imagine living where it snows that much... or snow's at all for that matter. :laughingby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
Definitely some bumps in the road along the way.... but well worth... been very fortunate with both my kids and my my grandkids. I appreciate your words, Iowa, truly - JamesJMby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
21Dog remembers this guy... played for Fresno St. Dell Hawkins. New tradition (to be a tradition) started at Kerman High School. All the senior football players pick a Kerman unified employee that has made a huge impact on their life. They ask them to come to their senior night game and give them their jersey to wear at the game. Note: "Employee"... can be a teacher, a bus driveby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
The man likes to talk, doesn't he? :laughing I have a cousin like that.... he detests silence. :laughingby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
not even back then. It's a little different for me as compared to the general public's perception however... and more in line with your thoughts. It was the Jet's running game that won that game, not Namath. However... what the game meant for me was not Namath, or even the running game for that matter... it was the young upstart AFL showing they could play with the NFL. I readily admiby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
Players this year seem to lack that.. both O and D but decidedly more on O. I'm not sure... but it has the 'feel' of players having to concentrate more on very complex assignments on each individual play rather than hard-nosed attack football. Now I'm Not saying that's the way it is... just saying it has that appearance. - JamesJMby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
far more than I hear lyrics. BUT... and as we talked about this before: Some of the greatest poetry ever written was as song lyrics. Most people I know hear the 'lyrics' and that almost entirely. If the song tells a story they like they love the song regardless of the musical instruments or the 'melody'. I'm not like that... not even close. BUT... I have missed out on some extremely beautby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
and he's a starter... was last year as a Jr. as well. Yes, there is an overlap... in fact it's a BIG overlap from football to basketball.... however, there is a rule... not sure if it's 'written' or 'unwritten' that an athlete cannot be penalized for playing two or more sports. Obviously that's a 'loose' rule as a coach 'could' say a player was demoted for not being as good as another player whby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
But that season Earl pretty much got them to the SB didn't he? I might be remembering this wrong but seems Earl started nearly every game in the regular season? If I'm right... Earl earned the start in the SB. You are correct that he wasn't playing well in the SB, however, and I understand bringing Johnny U in... after all, it was Johnny U.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
the change from last year is that now a school can move up, or down, only one Division.... so last year's movement of teams more than 1 Division is no more. Does that help? Not much.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
It's whacko.... and it was worse last year. They made some changes for this year to address, (they announced), the incentive to intentionally lose but it didn't work. Some schools are currently facing that decision. For example: A D1 team currently in qualifying position for the playoffs as a D1 but who will receive a very low seeding can lose, intentionally or otherwise, and drop to D2 andby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub

and that even though I'm not fond of the man himself. don't like him, actually... BUT.... His presence in the HOF represents something I think is being lost today... that it isn't just 'stats'... certainly not just SB Victories, or MVP's. All those things important, very important, but IMHO the 'human' element is just as relevant. I think there is an argument to be made, a good argumentby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
so then 'we know that' as a fact? As usual I missed that if true. My thoughts, (meager. These type of things I don't devote a lot of attention too), have been revolving around the McVay vs Goff issue in which I thought McVay was rude. Please no one think that means I'm down on McVay... I love the guy). couldn't stop myself from thinking... "here we go again".by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
that happens pretty much on a daily basis. We do this little song game around the lunch table... dinner table.... One of us sings a line to a song and the others have to be first to guess the next line. Problem is.... the amount of lyrics I have memorized incorrectly is enormous. In fact, I have come to believe there exists no song ever written in which I know every word. It's a verby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
My son-in-law and two grandsons, all Bronco fans, are salivating in hopes of swapping Gordon for Akers. I don't know what the specific situation is regarding Akers... but I suspect it's more personality clash than Aker's having lost it.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
