Quote3030 And sometimes you set you sights on Bobby Wagner and come home with Isaiah Pead. Had to chuckle and cry at the same time for this masterpiece of a one liner. Can look at this question a few ways. How good is a Rams draft as a whole? There has been 1st round busts and 1st round wins. Is a 1st round bust equivalent to drafting poorly by trading down a 2nd rounder for many picks?by h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
How about trade out of 2023 and more for 2024? Potentially better class and then maybe better draft position across all picks if 2023 record is bad.by h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
At this point... for 2023, they should do a reality show in search of a Rams Kicker. Have 10 people start the year. 2 people are moles.. like 49ers fans. They do a competition every week to determine who is the kicker for that week. Goal is to play in the game but also identify the mole. Because these may not be the best kickers in the NFL, you may not be able to tell if a kicker justby h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com

If the running back was Barry Sanders 30 years ago. (holy smokes, it's been 30 years, goodness). Replace Mitchell with Stafford Replace Moore with Kupp Barry Sanders at RB Choose either Lions Oline or Rams Oline and the offense would be good. But that's all you need.. is a once in a lifetime Barry Sanders lol :pby h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah, it's just me. I guess I'm just tired of the bashing/negativity related to the Rams. But I can choose to not read them or not respond and that's where I failed. Last season was no fun. Obviously hoping that the trajectory reverses course next year or the year after. At the same time, you never know. Anything can surprise us.. like Geno Smith doing decently well and bringing the Seahaby h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
I don't understand why people are intent on tearing this guy down. He's not my 1st choice, but not going out of my way to bash him. What's wrong with a Homer? Sometimes I wish more Rams fans would be Homers and fill up the stands. Rather take Homers than a bunch of Negative Nancies. Glass Half Empty, Glass Half Full.. to each their own. Appreciate differences.by h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com

No, I'm not confident with the roster that Rams have now and then the question marks on offense especially with QB health. I won't defend Morris and say that he's the coach I want nor the best defensive coach out there. I am not a fan of the defensive scheme, but I understand it. Other teams I follow in both NFL and College have the same philosophy.. when you have a high scoring offense, you jby h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com

QuoteRamsdude ***I get it but if you have 3 HOF'ers on your unit, is it not realistic to expect a Top 10-12 Defense regardless of the o? Also, I don't remember our D being anything "special" during the beginning of the year. In fact, against Buffalo, they looked horrible. I also can't agree it was all on the D that kept us in games for 3 qtrs. Sometimes it was also due to the other teby h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
I would just look to the first half of the season when Rams had their stars playing. When you remove Stafford and Donald on both sides of the ball.. then I would say it is bit unfair to judge the offense/defense during that time. So in the first half or so... Rams Defensive rankings were in the top quartile I believe... definitely top half. If we look back to those games, the defense keptby h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com

If I remember correctly, the Legion of Boom era was the last time where a top defense could win game with a mediocre offense. This then started a short trend to build teams with a defensive focus.. so in 2015 or so, you could have a few teams that were top in defense but at the bottom of scoring offense and still make it to the playoffs. I believe Bruce Arians' Cardinals at that time had onby h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
I don't think people would dispute that you need a good O to do well in the NFL. The NFL rules are built for Offense, so if your Offense can't score, you aren't going to do well. Take SF for an example. Their scoring defense depends on their scoring offense. People might not feel that way because they may think that SF's defense is always good... but remember that SF is only good, when thby h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
As a fan, I would take that SuperBowl win and go through this "rebuilding" period. However, one thing to think about is that we all here are fans. But don't represent the majority population of Los Angeles. While the Rams were in the top 5 of attendance.. we can't say that these tickets were sold to Rams fans. When people use the word Journey to describe the next steps.. whether it's about a football season or even your place of work... then you know that it's going to be a rough road. Maybe also give credit to the Rams D. But, playing along... Vegas- Probably surprising a bit, but then again, it's Carr and McDaniels. So you never know what you are going to get. Last few games for the Raiders, the offense sputtered, which hastened them to move on from Carr and get Jimmy G instead Green Bay- Rodgers had no line and no WRs. Their offense was mediocre all year. QuoteRamsdude QuoteJYB QuoteRams43The Rams defense averaged 20.8 points a game in the last five contests.. that would be 13th over the course of the season. I think that's misleading. Because the offense was worse and McVay is an offensive minded coach. If you build up the defense and the offense continues to be last in the league, what does that say about McVay? This is nothing really about defensive performance.. this is all about helping the offense, because the Head Coach is an offensive minded coach.by h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
Quoteoldschoolramfan See......This is what I was telling you guys this week. Will gut the defense and then draft/spend on Offense. Get the offense back in shape so people can blame the Defense. Last year was embarrassing for him. He failed on Offense so the narrative of him being an offensive genius took a hit. If he has another season where the Defense outperforms the Offense, his legacy would be tarnished even more. Figured you'd probably catch this as well. Haven't read through the thread. Maybe he saw Apple Cup games because if I remember correctly, the defensive scheme against Leach was to sit back a bit more. Force them to march down the field vs explosive plays. There were more 2 highs shown at snap against Leach I think. I don't know, didn't bother to read the rest as I'm not into fiction.by h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
