Like, we know Stafford may get injured in practice or at home...but he won't get injured in a PS game cuz McVay will NOT play him, and take that risk. All anyone can do is minimize opportunities to get hurt as best they can...but as you said, nuthin is written...and injuries can happen anywhere & anytime.by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
I wouldn't mind a late pick for him. we'll see.by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
and said as much... QuoteMcVay Sean McVay on steps to prevent further injury to Matthew Stafford’s throwing hand “I feel stupid that I didn’t implement some of the things to prevent that. I’ve seen some teams around the league that have those shells on their helmets that, you know you can at least soften the blow when you do come down on the top of it and hopefully you don’t have to learn tby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com

...but we drafted TuTu and all his 155lbs. - so I'll go with Atwell and hope for the best. I was kinda surprised because I thought Tavon Austin had better skills than TuTu and McVay had TA his first year(iirc) and did little with TA. I only hope McVay knows how he wants and how to get it from Atwell. we'll see. I'm usually wrong so I'm hoping past performance holds again!! lol ;)by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
but will hope for the best since the staff know what they want in a player and what they are trying to do schematically. That being said, I have a little way of looking at the draft position of players that boom or bust. During a draft, when we pick a player high and he washes out...but a player that we picked at a lower position pans out and excels...maybe even starts or play many meaningful sby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
Stafford has had to go into games without any hope of a real rushing threat from his RB and the Lions offense. Stafford's very used to that, if not consciously, then UN consciously!! ...and Stafford still thrived for the most part. No matter who the Rams field at RB behind Stafford....Stafford will have a better situation when stepping on the field. McVay will give him a BETTER threat oby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
I'd hope we go for a guy like that...or maybe it'd be just minor RB type fill-in that they pull from the waiver wire after final cuts if they like the current stable of RBs behind Hendy...tho there's not many of them!! lolby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
Hendy can be explosive and runs hard...I like the kid and think.... IF... he can stay healthy, yeah, he could deliver about 200 carries this year and shoulder the load with aplomb. I like Henderson's style and think he will do well in Akers place. It's just the injury bug - soft tissue injury stuff.by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
Speed suffers and doesn't quite fully heal for 1.5 to 2 yrs. imo Then, not quite the same...but maybe the medicine is getting better with TornAchilles and it will be what torn ACLs used to be. Either way, Akers is gone for a long time. Hendy is capable...and could rise to the it if he doesn't get hurt. They will pick up some new RBs in the next few months that may surprise.by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotezn When the Rams first moved to St. Louis, there were angry/hurt LA fans who stuck with the team but were vocal about their frustration. In response there were some St. Louis people who told them to get over it but mostly what I saw was St. Louis fans embracing their LA brothers and sisters. Then the reverse happened when the Rams moved to LA. There were angry/hurt St.L fans who stuck wiby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteAt the 11 second mark with the Lions in 3rd and 5 Stafford completes a pass. For 4 yards. ugh. And at the 1:46 mark the Lions are in 3rd and 10 and Stafford completes a pass. For 9 yards. ugh again. This is a WR problem - unless there was a WR farther downfield that the QB doesn't see. Any WR MUST get the correct depth on their routes in order to convert a 3rd down. IMO, that's just bby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
I know McVay has his plans for Harris at TE...but man, I just don't see it in any of his vids. Harris looks like a big, tall, fast WR...like a Megatron-lite. It's always interesting how HCs use these tweener WR/TE types. One could argue that Megatron would have been the best TE in the history of the NFL at 6-5, 240lbs...or the monster WR in Seattle(name??...damn i forgot) who has the same measby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
and it appears they have been doing exactly that these last 3-4yrs. I really like trading our #1 for established talent and signing them to big contracts. I really think the Rams have learned from all those past dead money contracts and will be waay more judicious in the future. The Rams are clearly using the MoneyBall-type analytics to get players that fit what they are wanting...and thenby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
to me anyway. I'd teach Harris to be the 2nd coming of Megatron by the QB that threw to him. Keep the game simple for Harris and get him on the field as a bigWR...and use Skowronek as the TE. I just don't want Harris to get overwhelmed with them teaching him TE and waiting for his body to add 20lbs. Teach Harris to be Megatron and let him develop chemistry with Stafford who knows what Megby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
I mean, Tavon Austin is a better version of that type of player than what I see of Atwell's highlights. Then, add the even smaller stature of Atwell to TA and that's a recipe for getting killed on game day. I didn't like this pick and felt they wanted the two other WRs that were picked just before #57...and the Rams panicked. imo The Atwell pick felt forced to me. I really hope I'm wrong..by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
But usually, omissions by HCs while commenting on player depth charts are not a good thing. ;)by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
I didn't see a complete wash-out from this kid...especially since his father was an NFL player and the kid grew up with that. BHopkins is a talented kid...no doubt, but he must really be checked out during class or have a bad attitude or something to not even be mentioned by McVay's TE depth list. A sad fall...in just his 2nd year. Looks like the Rams' analytics software missed something iby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
It's DWill's hands for the INT that are the difference maker to me. 3 of his INTs last year were incredible catches for even a WR to make....let alone a CB. TOs are much better than PBUs...and pay better too! ;) If he gets more INTs this year or does the same...he'll get his coin.by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
just thought that McVay's offense may have been a bit too complicated for him...but physically, I thought Everett was impressive and had very good RAC. I think that he just needs a simpler offense of used in a way where he doesn't have to process and can just....play. I think Everett could be a very good TE for them.by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com

there are ways that I still think he's very under-rated. Seattle made a BIG mistake not surrounding this guy with a strong OL. So bad, in fact, that Wilson made a point to finally bring it up after years of staying quiet and in-house about it. I sure hope the new offense system gets Wilson more time and better "looks" - so his OL doesn't need to hold their blocks as long. ya kby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
Enthusiasm is contagious and is nearly always wonderful for a team's morale as long as the hard/grind work is put in....and I have no reason to think it's not. We know the players all like Morris...we just need Morris to be very good at calling defenses...that's when he'll get even more respect. Clowning around is fine after all the hay's been bailed.by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotezn Pressing was often just disastrous when he(Goff) did it. This is the key. Goff is very good when in a rhythm but when he gets flustered or tries to press Goff tries to make throws he cannot make or scramble like he's in slow motion oblivious to ball security. As Dirty Harry said...."A man's got to know his limitations". ...and Goff didn't. Stafford is more arm-talenby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
