Like, we know Stafford may get injured in practice or at home...but he won't get injured in a PS game cuz McVay will NOT play him, and take that risk.
All anyone can do is minimize opportunities to get hurt as best they can...but as you said, nuthin is written...and injuries can happen anywhere & anytime.
