You would think a professional reporter could look into the details of the contract and analyze based on that. It doesn't have to be either/or between Higs and Everett. It probably isn't. This reporter failed to realize that with $15M guaranteed that essentially makes this a 2 year contract. Hey! What do you know? Everett's contract is up in 2 years. Coincidence? Probably not. QuoteSpeed_Kills I always favored Wentz because of his physical attributes Now people like Max and Saguaro favored Goff all along because of things like injury history, Goff's ridiculous redzone performance at Cal, and his natural passing ability. This signing was a bit surprising to me but I have two takeaways. 1) It says nothing about how they view Everett by the way it’s structured. Since it’s basically a two year contract, they can get out of it at the same time Everett’s contract is ending. 2) It definitely tells us what their strategy is in keeping the team together. Namely, they are addressing the contracts in the order thatby dzrams - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRams43 Yeah, I recall many arguments for each player. In hindsight, perhaps there was no “wrong” answer? I know the question was pro ready and in that people's opinions were varied based on how they defined that as Sag said. But as for who would be best overall I do recall that were some who gave the 'no wrong answer' response. Turns out that's probably the best answer. In talent anby dzrams - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteSaguaro In the video linked above, the two analysts talked more about abilities or "traits", as McVay has called them - pocket presence, anticipation on throws, footwork. Other analysts related "pro-ready" more to the style of offense they played, or even the age and maturity of the player. So we're left with some different pros and cons on the topic. QuoteRFL I can't agree with that. I what you are saying is that a team will always have some positions that aren't as strong and need to be in a rebuilding process … well, yes, I can go along with that. It broke my heart to see Saffold go, but I understood that we can't pay everybody. But we are rolling the dice with really long odds and a pretty seriously undeveloped plan. I largely agree with the list but they have one notable person missing. Gerald Everette. I'd have him in the same range as Kupp and Johnson. I think it's much more likely they sign Everette to an extension than Higbee. Towards the end of last year Everette quietly started getting the lions share of snaps. Of course, this is a very small sample size with players facing a variety of mostly 2nd, 3rd and no-way stringers rather than other starters.
