Even though Wolford is short he has bigger hands than Goff....Watching Wolford's youtube highlights he uses the pump fake alot something I've never seen Goff do. If Goff does a pump fake he might fumble the ball with his small hands. He looks like he has decent arm strength and his passes have more velocity than Goff's too. Wolford definitely throws the deep ball better than Goff and hasby RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
Hopefully Wolford will be looking for Jefferson and Reynolds. Kupp and Woods are fine possession type receivers but Jefferson and Reynolds are the only guys with breakaway speed on this offense. They just need a guy who can get them the deep ball in stride. Goff isn't that guy. I'm really looking forward to seeing Wolford showing his deep ball touch. Hopefully McVay doesn't holding himby RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
I really think this guy has something that Goff doesn't. He has the ability to throw his receivers open. As long as the offensive line gives him time this guy is going to find the open receiver and hit him in stride. Look for Van Jefferson to be his biggest target. Van Jefferson had his biggest catches in training camp scrimmages with Wolford as the QB. With Goff last week..Jefferson was wby RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
Wolford has alot of moxy and has the guts to throw the ball into tight spaces...the question is if he can avoid making critical mistakes. He also has something Goff lacks.....anticipation for when the receiver will break open for run after catch....something that Kurt Warner has that made him so special. The only knock on him is his height and if he can keep from getting his passes battedby RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteNewMexicoRam But obviously it does happen. Actually, I'd feel worse as a Falcon fan losing that SB to the Patsies. That's the ultimate fail. The Rams at least loss to a former top 5 drafted QB....Sam Darnold who has talent. The Steelers lost to Ryan Finley who passed for 89 yards. I'll say the Steelers losing to a backup QB is worse loss than the Rams losing to the Jets. The Jby RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
I don't know what it is wrong with Goff...he looks like he is playing not to lose the game....holding on to the ball too long in the pocket. Unable to throw it deep like something is wrong with his throwing arm or shoulder. Like he is afraid to pull the trigger and throw into tight windows...McVay must have a tight leash on him.... Remember those deep passes in the first year of McVay? Bomby RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
Would the Rams considered a special team coach change now? The Rams special teams have been horrible this year....with Hecker getting blocked yesterday and sub par punt returns /coverage.....Brayden Coombs just got fired from the Lions. Would he be better than the guy we currently have? The Lions player love the guy...but he did go rogue against the head coach with the fake punt that got hby RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
Didn't McVay say that Matt Gay was out too a couple of week ago? But still played? Seems kind of early to say that Akers is out.by RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
I doubt he took the Jets lightly... Didn't the broadcast team say that McVay called Adam Gase to talk to him before the game? Saying that he said he watched the JETS and saw that they were really talented and competing? Didn't sound like McVay took them lightly....it looked like McVay was testing his team to see if they would rise to the occasion but also trying to keep his team from reveaby RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
Are the Rams setting up the Seahawks with their loss to the lowly Jets? Why did McVay play so conservative all game long against the Jets. Even the defense was vanilla....Was he treating the game like a preseason game trying to not reveal his plays for the big show down? The Rams play better when they play as underdogs without much expectations. With the loss to the Jets....everyone isby RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteHazlet Hacksaw they might have been good calls on 1st or 2nd down - but they had two plays to make 4 yds and the calls were just bizarre given how the time and score. I just dont get what goes through this coaches head sometimes. It's like McVay purposely threw the game....Why the hell do you call a deep pass on 4th down and short? Quotenicecatchellard Let's just go throwbacks are these not an option anymore? That little experiment was fun and all and I'm sure it made millions and billions of dollars in apparel sales that I have seen absolutely nobody wearing. I'm still waiting for all these trendy young generations of kids wearing these new jerseys. We need to get Van Jefferson more involved with the passing game....Goff needs to look for other receivers besides Kupp and Woods. Is Van not getting separation or is Goff just not looking for him. I wonder if John Wolford was the QB on most of Van's preseason big plays. With all the hype during the preseason about Van....it has been disappointing seeing him standing on the side line moreby RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com

Quote21Dog QuoteRamgator I cannot recall exactly what happened. It did not directly cost us the game but it hurt. Rams came around too little too late that day. 51-7 I'd say they never came around that day. I'm no fan of the Raiders.....but I was glad to see them kicked the cocky Redskins ass in the Super Bowl.by RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
I found this classic video of Eric Dickerson teaching the fundamentals of being a running back...What the Rams needs right now is some classic John Robinson USC run plays to mix in with McVay pass plays. Goff in the shot gun and play action is getting too predictable. Those jet sweeps are getting sniffed out too. Put Gerald Everett in as a full back and run the i-formation...with Cam Akers..by RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteClassicalwit Because there were 3 or 4 defenders surrounding the receiver when he threw the pass. I knew when it left his hand that it was a disaster. Still a poorly designed play by McVay....he needs to run some power sweep with Goff pitching the ball to his running back....McVay is becoming too predictable with the play action. McVay needs to get Eric Dickerson into the coaches roomby RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
Did anyone see Corbett look like turnstile on that play? How about Havenstein standing around blocking no one. If Haventstein had slid over to help Corbett....maybe that pick 6 wouldn't have happened. Looked like Goff was getting a blind side hit just when he was releasing the ball. Can Bobby Evans replace Corbett or Havenstein?by RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com

Why are the Rams not running a toss power sweep play to allow our running backs to build momentum when they hit the line of scrimmage? Eric Dickerson used to gain so much head of steam that he would run over the defender......Instead we are always having Goff hand it off to the rb close to the line of scrimmage? We run way too many shot gun plays....ever since Goff took over as QB.by RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
Van Jefferson isn't physical enough to play special teams. He has missed a bunch of tackles even when he is the first guy down the field on coverage. He needs to just play WR...tackling isn't his strong point and that last play not keeping the ball out of the end zone was a complete failure in his punt coverage assignment. He was right there and couldn't make the play.by RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
How could one team report so many injuries? Historical number of injuries....All due to bad luck? Terrible training staff? Could it be PED? Got to blame the blue uniforms again for the loss....Seriously, Maybe it's Goff's girlfriend....He hasn't been the same since he met her...lol... Give these guys a break....they just played on Monday night and got a win against Tom Brady. Look I can't stand that we lost to the hated Whiners. Remember Rams are the 3rd youngest team in the NFL. Quote21Dog QuoteRamsAl48 The game was played on that terrible turf in Santa Clara. Kupp and Woods was slipping on that turf. In addition, Rams didn't have Jordan Fuller or A'Shawn Robinson. QuoteRams43 It was as if all Ram players were in the twilight zone right from the jump. Offense Defense ST I couldn’t believe my eyes. All this from a team that was supposedly devastated with injuries, including their QB. This is the loss that is most unforgivable and that bugs me the most.
