QuoteJamesJM I didn't know about this movie until very recently... early Jan. Around the first of the year I read about it... not long after I saw a very brief trailer. When I read about it I was immediately turned off by it because I read that Gary Oldman was playing Churchill. I have nothing against Oldman and in fact think he's a very good actor... but as Churchill? How in the HELL is thby Billy_T - Bucky's Pub
Quotelaram TWO important defensive plays by the Eagles. There was a lot of action and scoring but defense raised its hand when it mattered and sealed the game. I think that was actually the first time that the Pats and Brady had been stopped with a chance to win the game. Get some backups on offense and shore up that defense. But honestly its ALL gonna depend on Jared Goff IMO. IFby Billy_T - RamsFootballFans.com

Quotemoklerman I agree but I don't think the Ertz play was an example of it. IMO, they got it right on that one. Ertz caught the ball, secured it, transferred it, made a football move and was a runner and it was not a continuation of the catch situation. The Jesse James play was an example of what needs to be fixed. What often drives me crazy is when a receiver catches the ball with twoby Billy_T - RamsFootballFans.com

QuoteJamesJM I think they would reply that that is exactly what they are doing now.... only - - - they aren't. It all boils down to the 'football move' thing... THAT'S the joker in all this. Simplify. None is this ridiculous division about being a runner versus a receiver. If a player has control of the football when he breaks the plane of the goal line, it's a TD, and the ground can't cause a "fumble" or an incomplete. It should be judged based on control in the moment of crossing that plane. It gets trickier with sideline catches, but I still think it should be abby Billy_T - RamsFootballFans.com
I think he was the Rams best receiver last year, and I did not expect that. He's also still young. He's going to be 26 for next season. As much as I like Sammy's speed, size, toughness, hands and potential as a great bubble screen guy, etc. etc. . . . . which they did not take proper advantage of . . . Probably in a tiny minority here, but this is how the Rams look to me now: (I say all of this still thrilled with how the season went, and extremely optimistic about the future.) When I think about just the "talent" level on the Rams, and I'm honest about it, and not being a homer, they still have room for a lot of upgrades. I think they actually over-performed this past year, conby Billy_T - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotemerlin How many 3-4 defenses need a NT that early? This group has some guys into midrounds that can stuff the run too. Plus you have that tendency for Bama dudes to slide from being maxed out, not to mention that Vea is a freak and will probably be the first DT off the board due to his flexibility. Quotealyoshamucci The guy has a very special movement set. The way he uses his upper and lower body in tandem is rare, and I can honestly say the guys blocking him always look like they are fighting to keep their balance ... more uncomfortable than most players Ive seen. Quoteferragamo79 a 4th? It's tragic what the game does to players. A few years ago, I wouldn't have traded Quinn for any defensive player in the league, including Watt. Grab a young, crazy athletic DT with the first pick. The kid benches 550, weighs 310, runs a 5.0 forty. He's not the massive hogmolly type like Vea, but he's plenty big enough, and you're just not going to find his kind of strength and athleticism later in the draft -- beyond flukes. I also really like that he'll be just 21 as a rookie, and has the pedigree as a five-star recruit coming out of hiby Billy_T - RamsFootballFans.com

We Rams fans have a gazillion things to be happy about this season, and for me, even if they don't make it beyond Atlanta -- they will -- I'll still view this as a great season and a major success. QuoteBlue and Gold QuoteBilly_T Reminds me of another punching bag for some fans: Brian Quick. IMO, he was (ridiculously) underused, rarely targeted, poorly coached, and then summarily dumped. I think the kid could have been very "productive" if they had bothered to actually throw him the ball more often. Of course, Sammy is more talented than BQ, but he, too, has been underused byby Billy_T - RamsFootballFans.com
I'd say it's completely relative, contingent and next to impossible for fans to accurately assess. We can approximate. But we can't be sure who really has been "productive," given the circumstances. Why? Because we're not able to see, via TV, all the routes, all the times a receiver is open or not, all the times the QB throws to someone else even with a wide-open receiver and so on.by Billy_T - RamsFootballFans.com
