For a couple reasons. First, he might get snapped up by another team with a lesser tender. Secondly because if he's going to be starting at LT $6M should be no problem for the team to swing. I'm sure he'd appreciate that extra couple million bucks too. And perhaps most importantly playing him on the RFA tag for 2024 allows you to get more evaluation time on him before you make the decisionby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
Is that the decisions are very easy. When the Rams want to keep guys they are pretty good at doing that. 1. Try to sign Dotson. Prefer before FA too. I don't like that his play picked up in his FA season. But he is such a nice fit for this offense and if we keep waiting on our OL to come into playing form midseason we're never going to get a high seed. 2. Keep the RFAs. Adjust tendersby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
I would sign a FA at one of our top 3 need spots: EDGE, CORNER, WIDEOUT (X). And I would get Dotson done before FA. Then go bargain types to help fill out the roster, as we seem to do really well with those. I know some don't see us having an aggressive FA like that. But this roster needs it and there are only so many picks. Then the remaining two are my priorities with those first two picby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteLMU93 To me at least. They were actually 8th in the NFL this season in red zone scoring. 2nd best of McVay's tenure behind only 2019 when they were 6th. Their 60.3% redzone TD % was slightly better than in 2021 (59.1%). Both the Rams and Lions were top 5 on offense. Defensively the Rams were in low teens, forget where exactly. Lions were near the bottom of the league. So the surprby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteSpeed_Kills which team has the better coach and qb? IMO the Rams do I expect an offense with McVay and Stafford to not struggle goal to go especially when you have a Kyren Williams, to score TDs when you make multiple trips into the red zone, and not forget to run the ball It’s not about being perfect it’s about what you expect from your coach who is said to be a great offensive miby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRamsDynasty Quotemerlin Speed at wideout who can perform in that X role is a need. LT of the future is a need. But the holes on defense are far worse. Speed at wideout who can perform in that X role is a need. LT of the future is a need. But the holes on defense are far worse. I don't want to have a team that is all offense. I want a balanced team. I want a team that will beat you with either side of the ball. Offense is pretty good, the problem in this game was they needed to be almost perfect to win. And they came close. Lions went full caveman tonight. I doubt their staff preached hurting the other team but they were throwing their bodies around with complete abandon and hitting to put guys on the sideline. It's unfortunate and I'm going to enjoy them being eliminated.by merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRampage2K- good lord....should have known there would be this kind of post on here after that game I don't get some people....they expect perfection will NEVER happen anybody questioning McVay after what he accomplished this year is never going to be happy short of winning a Super Bowl every year. We know he wasn't the same guy when he returned. So maybe he played through some pain or for whatever reason his body wasn't full back but he put himself out there. QuoteThe_Zone I am not concerned, I don't fault him at all for wanting some structure or get traded. look at the way that organization is being run. He simply wants to keep Pierce who did a decent job. he is also not the only one singing Pierces praise, and Pierce is getting looks from other organizations as well. a Crosby addition would strike fear in opposing QBs and OC's. he is relentlby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
Crosby seems to think he should be running the team. To me there is a conflict somewhere in all that. So I'd pass on Crosby and let some other team overpay for him in trade. And I'd take a shot on another young edge to pair with Young somewhere in that first few rounds.by merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRamsdude Quotemerlin We're precisely where we were last season, which is 28th in the league. This season our pressure rate is 18.7%, last season it was 17.9%. QuoteRockRam Let the market decide. The NFL is simply entertainment. It has no other value. I do agree with the concept that the legalized monopoly should no longer be allowed. it was pretty crazy to begin with, if you ask me. No doubt the right people were paid off. Youngest head coach hire. Top notch win percentage. Super Bowl victory. And he's got a lot of years ahead to build on that. He will be enshrined the first ballot he is eligible for. Take a moment to smell the flowers with this guy in charge. :thumbsupby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
Excellent. We may not have the talented roster but if they're all aligned and focused in they may do a little damage. Gonna enjoy this however it ends. :beercanby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
That's the DT in him too so it's not going to change. But just in terms of his ability to put a good rush on, he's not too bad. The guy has a nice blend of power and rush savvy to him. In this game vs Goff that contain won't be too big a deal. So it wouldn't surprise me if he has a strong outing.by merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
First we know Jared very well. He was traded because teams were changing it up on the back end while he was running play action and when he turned around he couldn't process quick enough to recover. Raheem will have some special home cookin' for him in this one. Second one of our problems this season was Kendrick's inconsistencies, or perhaps his limits is a better way to put it. He's a really good weapon and one that moves the chains. Would have been a matchup problem for us for sure. Detroit still has plenty of those remaining too, so this helps but we're still gonna be under the gun on defense. Key will be pressures on Jared to move him off his spot. Make him move and maybe catch him in a couple misreads on big downs and we might steal this thing. It's gonna beby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com

He's just a recent addition that doesn't have the benefit of a ton of reps and coaching to ensure he's got the nuance down in McVay's offense. So for him to play like he did is impressive. That was a big game. Might have been against backups but it was still a big game. I like his energy. He seems rejuvenated too. Like a different guy from that broken shell who got tossed out of Indy. QuoteRams43 Quotemerlin For myself as I keep saying its addition has the potential of putting this offense into rare levels. I agree we lack it and btw this is not just on offense. Because if not then I'd say Coach Wendell deserves most of the credit. He's the guy who would be getting the axe if the unit was terrible.
