He's just a recent addition that doesn't have the benefit of a ton of reps and coaching to ensure he's got the nuance down in McVay's offense. So for him to play like he did is impressive. That was a big game. Might have been against backups but it was still a big game.
I like his energy. He seems rejuvenated too. Like a different guy from that broken shell who got tossed out of Indy. Sometimes we need to have our egos deflated. Maybe he's on the upswing, and I think signing a backup deal with the Rams would be wise for him. Get a full camp, master this offense, and see where it goes. Mastery of the QB craft will almost certainly lead to a big payday down the road. Without that the payday is just a short term boost with a fall off a cliff.
