For reference on Deion's draft position at 5 the picks ahead of him: Aikman Mandarich--touted by the media as the best OT prospect ever at the time Barry Derrick Thomas Deion maybe the best top five of any draft.by cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com

What's your opinion of Justin Hollins of Oregon?by cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
Given how horrible the McCarthy offense was I am of the opinion that Rodgers is thrilled to have a competent coach with a productive system. Rodgers will be excellent this year.by cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
I disagree with the idea that a shortage of QBs causes the high dollar value assigned to the QB position. The value of the QB position to a team winning games is much more likely the cause. With a good QB you have a chance to win most games. Cousins is an interesting case. There is a tier of QBs that are not worth the 30+ million franchise QBs receive. The Redskins did not believe Cousinsby cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
That 3 cone is better than all the elite EDGE players -Malik Reed 6.89 -Bosa 7.1 -Allen 7.15 -Burns 7.01 -Winovich 6.94 3 cone way more important than 40 time when looking at pass rushers.by cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
Thanks for the intel--couldnt find his pro day numbers. After his explosiveness and pass rush move skills one other attribute that reminds me of Donald(not in a he is in the same class way) is Reed never gives the opponent surface area to hit. Reed does a great job making himself tiny--he is very often engaging the lineman with his side not front facing the lineman. I think drafting him inby cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
I dont care what position he is listed as on the roster. What I care about is getting this guy and lining him up on the edge in passing situations and letting him do Malik Reed things. This guy is explosive. Best pass rusher I saw all season in college football. I went out of my way to watch Nevada games just to see Reed play.by cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
Fwiw he is a slot corner being projected to a safety position. In 2018 he lined up in the slot on 557/802 snaps. He's a good player. Inconsistent like the entire Florida team--lets not even talk about Florida's pathetic ilbs. Johnson saw alot of action and played quite well imo. Would be a good pick.by cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
Sacks are a bad indicator of pressure generated. Sacks vary alot year-to-year. Pressures are much more stable and predictive of a pass rusher's impact. Samson had 32 pressures in 300 and some pass rushes. A ten percent rate which is definitely solidly in the good area. For contrast, Donald is at 18% of pass rushes generate a pressure. Dee Ford who led Edge rusher's in pressures earned a 1by cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
I agree. Not sure a nose tackle is worth a first but Vita Vea went high in the first last year. Lawrence is in his class.by cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
That list is not of plug and play players. Quenton Nelson was a plug and play player. And he is. Treadwell is the only one on your list that had a sure fire evaluation. Gregory had major off the field issues and could play--exactly what he is now. Lynch was big and inaccurate and he is. Robinson was a devlopmental player and still developing--haha. I'm not so liberal with plug and playby cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
Winovich is a stud. I'm in. Still want Malik Reed in the sixth.by cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
Chase could be a Chris Long, Wistrom type player. That has a place in the league. He is not a Leonard Little, Quinn type pass rusher. What a great guy to be on your team though--the leadership, intelligence, passion/work ethic has got to rub off on others. The more I consider taking him the more I like. Still wants coverage players though.by cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
The improvement in the Run Defense might be completely attributable to Suh's playoff vs regular season performance. Also the return of Talib was big. I have it somewhere but the Rams pass defense was night and day with and without Talib.by cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
for the pick Eddie had a pretty solid career. Perhaps not with the Rams but he was ok elsewhere.by cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com

Murray was 37-48 for 308 versus Bama. Rating of 97.6. He was pressured on 17 dropbacks. He hit a 32 yarder and a 49 yarder. When he was not under pressure he was 14-26 for 227 with 8.7 YPA. 3 of those incompletions were drops. Murray is way better than Vick. Russell is a good comparison.by cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
Most people in the media that rate QBs rate them with a odd set of criteria. I base my ratings off data and watching the dude play with combine numbers helping to finish the eval off. Murray is small. However, he is tremendous throwing the ball in the pocket and has one of the lowest batted passes number. So, to me the kid shows size doesnt matter for him. But to the media evaluators it matby cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
Check Chase's combine numbers and watch the film before you call him try hard. Dude is athletic. He is definitely a little stiff but has explosion.by cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
Murray is a much better prospect than Rosen. And I think Rosen is a good prospect. Rosen was drafted in a fair stop and has value for sure. Murray though is a better and more consistent passer in the pocket. Murray is one of the best Qbs by throws in the pocket in college the last five years. And can run. QB runs are a one of the most valuable types of plays in football. Especially behby cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
I dont think Rapp would be a good fit in Wade's system. Rapp definitely cant play the Cover One Safety. And Wade frequently put JJ3 in man, which doesnt fit Rapp's strength. Rapp would likely be best in a Cover 3 scheme where he can play a rover role. Could be someone the Chiefs would consider.by cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
Chase Winovich or Chauncey Gardner-Johnsonby cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
Absolutely agree with this statement. My preference is to draft lots of corners/coverage players. However, we were beat by one-on-one matchups constantly--Kamara, Edelman,.... Who on our team wins a simple isolation, one-on-one? I think having an that offensive player would do wonders for Goff. Simplify some plays. Give him some plays where he can take a mental rest and let the receiver doby cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
I think the media/fans often overthink performance. Teams that contend are probably very closely matched in regards to talent level. For example, the Rams, Saints, and Bears all have roughly the quality of players, all-around, The key is the performance of the QB and the coaching staff in big games. See the Patriots. In the 90s, I think the talent discrepancy was much greater with the Cowboysby cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com

Rams pass roughly passed 87% of the time Everett was lined up as a TE in 11 personel. Higbee was 51% for comparison. Will look into it but I think this is a significant function of down and distance.by cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
