Ramsey 2nd sack proves LA Rams D desperate for QB pressure . by Bret Stuter The LA Rams celebrated the second quarterback sack of All-Pro defensive back Jalen Ramsey’s career. Until this season, Jalen Ramsey had never recorded a quarterback sack. Now, in the 2022 NFL season, suddenly Jalen Ramsey is finding the range to take down opposing quarterbacks? That has prompted the player,by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com

Yep, I think it was mostly (but not all) on the RB’s. Especially Akers. That’s why I’ve been advocating focus on Edge and RB before trade deadline.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
In Week 6, LA Rams find answer to question: Is it OL or RB? by Bret Stuter Even though the LA Rams are entering their BYE week, there is a lot to ponder, analyze, and discuss regarding the first third of the season for this 3-3 team. For starters, we know that the LA Rams won a vitally important game to climb back to .500. But in doing so, the Rams rushed 27 times for 114 yards (removing Qby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com

Jalen Ramsey: Rams are 'really in a good spot' despite slow start to season Before the season began, a quick look at the Los Angeles Rams’ schedule led many to believe they’d start the year 4-2 or better. Games against the 49ers, Bills and Cowboys were expected to be tough, but they also had the Falcons, Cardinals and Panthers on the docket. Gotta disagree. AD insists on being highest paid defender but there’s a helluva lot more than just money motivating him. He loves the game. He loves the adulation and respect that comes his way. QuoteStafford9 McVay and the front office did a great job getting us a SB, the cupboard is bare not OLIne, no draft choices and no depth As long as Rams have both Snead and McVay they will be contenders. Players will come and go, even AD, but the team will be competitive nonetheless.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Can’t disagree with a single word here. Heck, I’ve been pounding the table for edge help for several weeks. Doesn’t have to be Burns or Quinn or any other ‘big name’ player. But does need to be an upgrade over what we’ve got. What we’ve got apparently just isn’t good enough against quality QB’s. Sorry. About Floyd. I think I read that he’s been playing hurt. RamBRO quote: Two questions: 1. Would you offer our 2023 2nd & 3rd round picks for Burns? 2. If the answer is yes, where do you suppose that places our defense? Currently, with no pass rush (outside of AD and a blitz from Ramsey) and a beat-up secondary, the Rams defense gives up 17.3 ppg. Where do you think we might be with better health on the back end and Burns opposite Floyd? Doby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteLMU93 Don't put the cart before the horse.... How high is the Ram need for OL now that starters are returning, 93? Imo, it’s at most 3rd behind Edge and RB. Therefore, since we agree that Rams can only address 2 needs, OL probably doesn’t get addressed further than it’s already been. I picked McVay, too. His shortcomings on O this year have most disappointed me. Not a player but his impact is enormous. BTW, Gaines has a shoulder injury he’s trying to play through.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Here’s fanotodd… The only real negative I saw was the slow start, including another pick 6. We just don’t have many lousy teams on the schedule to allow us half of the game to figure it out. So if the Rams can start the games with a either a better game plan or a quicker adjustment (like after a couple of fruitless drives), they will be in these games coming up. 1)The running game lookby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com

I disagree with your premise #1. Once Allen and Shelton return then I consider our OL plenty good enough. Already discussed in another thread. I’ve already opined that acquiring a ‘solid’ Edge would be desirable. It’s #1 on my to-do list. Not sure we can get to another SB with our current edge roster, frankly. Quoteroman18 we can't leave the draft bare with no picks above a 3rd round.....we can't keep doing that. We need to start at some time holding fast with who we have in house to build on. We all probably have a rather long wish list but that’s not realistic. I suspect that Rams can only do one, maybe 2 moves. I think a move at edge would yield most bang for the buck. Doesn’t have to be a big name like Quinn. Just a solid player there kinda like the Corbett move a few years ago. Someone that Rams consider a scheme fit but is sitting there under the fans radar? Gotta disagree, dude. I think this 49er game will be a good barometer telling us where we are as an O and where McVay is as a play caller. And with Allen back whether our OL can get the job done, especially establishing the run. If the O and play calling look good then I think Rams can be a playoff threat. But if not?
