AD insists on being highest paid defender but there’s a helluva lot more than just money motivating him.
He loves the game.
He loves the adulation and respect that comes his way.
He loves being the very best at his position ever.
He loves playing on such a talented D.
He loves his coaches.
He loves many of his teammates.
He loves Lombardi’s and what they symbolize.
He’s on the perfect team with the perfect coaches and perfect owner. How many players ever experience that?
He knows he can’t play forever but he also knows he’s still in his prime and what better thing could he possibly do right now?
Nope. The reasons to keep playing are too many and too powerful. He’ll play through ‘23 and maybe through ‘24 unless his skills deteriorate.
