Scoring is way down in the NFL this season. Look at the total number of touchdowns scored through the first six weeks of the last three years:
2020: 559
2021: 531
2022: 449

It’s just the circle of life. Defenses are ahead of offenses now, conceptually. Offenses have to respond. I’ve looked into this and it’s not one thing, man defense more effective but not massively. It’s more a bunch of little things.
