QuoteAlbaNY_Ram Next time I see AD I'll ask him to check with you before he makes quality of life decisions. :)-D Well, we both agree that AD is free to make any such decisions that he pleases. Just as I am free to hold any opinion of his decisions that I please? Is that not fair?by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteAlbaNY_Ram I have a tough time with this article. It says this: "Snead and co. have their work cut out for them this offseason. The resources aren’t plenty, but for a team that sold out for a championship and has no draft picks, they have left themselves with options. " Once the comp picks are announced the Rams are expected to have 10 picks. And it'll be 11 if Morris gets aby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteAlbaNY_Ram Not a good look to who? Fans? Basically, who cares?!? If Kroenke, Snead, McVay, and his teammates are OK with it (like I imagine they are) why should you or I give a rats a$$? Because it just does bother me, AlbaNY. One of those things you just feel in your gut. Or not…by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
I don’t keep track of assistant coaches like some other posters. I would refer you to den-the-coach for some possibilities. But I will say this. Any DC that is not interested in being the extreme most advocate for soft zone in the league would probably be an upgrade.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
We’ve all seen what impact strong TE’s can be in a modern O, if properly used. One of Rams highest priorities should be bolstering TE room with a playmaker that can also block decently. Great draft for TE’s but Rams can’t wait for one that requires 3 years to adapt to NFL. Would love to be a fly on the wall in Ram offseason strategy planning sessions.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteBigGame81 Other than Fangio, can you name me a better option? Are you serious? With this D roster, and assuming Snead brings in an Edge and a CB via either FA or draft? I’ll bet that McVay has a Rolodex with a dozen names on it for DC that could surpass Morris. Might already have one on his staff in Henderson.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Good article. Personally, I think McVay would be well advised to get away from his 11 personnel sets a little bit. League wide D’s are now specifically designed to smother them. Find a couple of suitable TE’s and run more 12 sets would be advantageous. Also, might want to consider getting a FB for today’s O. Maybe road grader OL types rather than the quicker zone blockers?by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com

Spotrac @spotrac Tom Brady’s contract will automatically void on March 15th, leaving behind a $35.1M dead cap hit to the #Buccaneers. It will be the 2nd largest single season dead hit in history, behind Matt Ryan’s $40.5M this past season with the #Falcons.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Quoteroman18 IF Sean doesn't want to give up the OC position, IF he wants to keep it I want Brown to have the title OC......IF Sean is good with GIVING UP the position he needs to go the way of a Reich, Kingsbury, someone with viable experience..... The issue is totally dependent on Sean giving it up......he keeps it I want to keep Brown on staff so give the title to Brown.....He gives up theby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Quoteroman18 I have said over and over.....IF Sean keeps the OC reins to himself he will still have someone/name someone to the title......someone will be called the OC, even if Sean is actually pulling the strings I would like to have Brown have that title....I think losing him would weaken our O/team......instead of going outside of the team to get a "In name only" OC raise Brown to tby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Quote21Dog Play calls don't mean much when you can block for them. Okay, let’s talk about run blocking for just a moment. Just to illustrate my point. Three things. Rams continued to start the hapless Evans at LG for weeks after both Skura and Aboushi were onboard AND had had 2 weeks to absorb the playbook. Irrational would be a kind description of that decision. Second example was theby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteAlbaNY_Ram Just sayin' - nobody knows anything. Can;t really argue with that statement. But there is something that I do know. AD’s absence is not a good look.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Two things. First, can we agree that there are now ‘two Sean McVays’? There’s the 2017-2021 version and now there’s the 2022 version. The first version was a supernova of innovation and accomplishment. Last year’s version? Not so much. Numerous poor asst coaching hires, personnel decisions, and irrational play calling. I’ve posted a lengthy list elsewhere. Second, while the injuries were deby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
McVay’s playcalling in ‘22 was highly suspect if we’re being honest and objective. Something was ‘off’ with McVay last season and it affected his play calling negatively, not to mention some of his inexplicable personnel decisions. Many of our posters are remembering the glorious first 5 McVay years and ignoring evidence of disarray in ‘22 that’s right under their nose. I’m hopeful thatby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Quoteroman18 I get it. I see a highly talented coach who IMO is in a learning stage, you just see an everyday RB coach who can't do much if anything else. You can't see that a guy can still learn under Sean being the head O guy, but it's happened on several occasions....Brown just hasn't had that chance....you don't see he deserves the chance.....Fair enough since it's all based on ones'eyes anby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
THAT is some world class speculation, AlbaNY. Say, I have some beachfront property in Arizona that I’d like to sell you. Interested? Lol.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteBigGame81 Staley appears safe. Reich could call the plays and have a talented offense to work with. If you were Reich, and assured of autonomy in both places, would you prefer Chargers over Rams? Spanos over Kroenke? Staley over McVay? Me neither. So, I can only conclude that Reich wasn’t offered autonomy, or maybe even a job with Rams. Opportunity lost.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRidgewood Ram this past season. As a matter of fact, he looked clueless at certain times. Very questionable play calling indeed. Agreed, Ridgewood. But now you should prepare for incoming from those who don’t tolerate criticism of Ram coaches or players.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Quoteroman18 IF Sean lets go of the ropes, IF he hands over the OC job to really allow an OC to be a real OC! I am saying if he still wants to really run the O I would rather keep Brown and set him into that pretend OC spot. You keep going on the notion of him giving up those reins, I don't think that is in him to do, he likes that area of the game too much. I see a value in hand with Browby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRidgewood Ram I'll start breaking dishes if they extend Wolford. I hope McVay can pull his head out of his ass this season because decisions like that will not be good. Agreed, Ridgewood. I don’t agree with all if his projections, either, especially the OL. But I did feel a little better after reading through it.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com

Quoteroman18 Even if he keeps that control we will lose Brown, you keep looking at the OC position only. Brown going will have a big impact within the offense, he is the guy who that RB room feeds off of. If he keeps the OC play calling as I think he will they can still have the traits/what Brown can give as a pseudo OC. At the same time Brown can grow in that position much as the others beforeby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Quoteroman18 the idea of getting a taste of having more control. Look at Belichick for example, look how he handled his 1st out as a HC in Cleveland, not pretty by any means...but he learned by his mistakes. As far as not having Hopkins involved more I don't think that would be on the TE coach to decide, that would be more in line with the OC/HC guy. IF Sean is going to keep the primary OC jby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Quoteroman18 I feel like he's not changing, giving up those keys, so I want to give that OC job to Thomas Brown, let him stay in the room, and learn some more. he may not have done well with the TE's but he sees what goes on non the less. A guy can still learn areas of the team to continue growing, a guy can learn by mistakes. He's a smart guy, he's looked up to in that RB room, he had a shoby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
