When no Ram tackle played a whole season; still 12 seems like a lot. Maybe the upgrade would be reliability? No, he was injured late in the season. But he did start 47 games over the last three years for a team that throws a lot. How's his run blocking?by hammer - RamsFootballFans.com

I’m with you 43 regarding Oldnotdead. But some of this is obvious and therefore predictable. The big take is that with these injuries the team may have no choice but to pivot. Undoubtedly discussions with Stafford have and will occur regarding his concussions and the risk posed if he continues to play. His response will direct this team’s future. It must be that with age comes wisdom. This line was a massive issue recognized by the majority on this board. How can they not see that it was week going in and with all the injuries and rotating players it is worse than I imagined. To start kicking their +$$; you can’t lose seven times in a row and not expect a rivals fans to come. The Rams need not just to beat them, but embarrass them, so their fans have to reconsider wanting to see that same sort of game the next time they play in LA. Robinson has a solid track record playing on a poor team with sub-par QB's. He is professional and experienced. All reports from camp indicate he is on track to be a major contributor. He is a fantastic #2. I am comfortable with saying he will be one of the best #2 receivers on any team this year. Van Jefferson is above average for a #3, but he is dealing with an injury. But did he deny interest in playing entirely? I see a scenario where the Rams come calling late in the season and he answers the bell for a shot at another Championship. He would avoid a long season on his 40+ Year old body. He knows the offense and stays in shape. I suspect he could still fall out of bed and do a good job. He loves football. I agree with your assessment RFP. I saw the same in his highlight reel; contested catches and a few where he was open, one where a defender must have missed an assignment because no defender was even in the picture. Hope he creates some separation this week, because he has mad ball skills, body control and determination. He's got something that's virtually impossible to teach, fight! And it is filled with contested catches. No doubt he is adept at it. But, his highlight tape consists of him making contested catches against division two defensive backs. I saw a couple of times on the highlight reel where he had separation. He was so open on one that it was clear the defense had missed an assignment. I only saw a handful of plays, so maybe someone will enlighten me, but what I did see was McCutcheon making fantastic catches on routes were he had no separation and the ball was thrown poorly. What. I didn’t see was any and I mean any separation from the defenders, who are all trying to make Chargers roster and who will most l likely not. Does Stafford throw so poorly? Did OBJ out perform Kupp in any games this last year? Did defenses openly focus on stopping OBj or Kupp every game? OBJ was a great complimentary receiver. Would he have supplanted Woods had Woods not been hurt? Probably not. It did take him a bit to get into the offense. He should do even better if he comes back healthy, but he’s not Cooper Kupp.. ? How about teams with least turnovers? Just curious, but no so curious that I want to look it up, but I bet it looks pretty similar to most passing yards you site. I see the Rams playing this game much like they did against Tampa. I think they will use heavy sets, run and run some more, then throw off of play action I hope to see a few draws\ too. When is the last time we saw the Rams run a draw! Rams receivers will play a key roll run blocking. The Rams will have time consuming drives that put points on the board. If they let them get away with holding and PI, that will favor the more aggressive team; I'm worried about that. I understand that the Officials in the AFC game called the fewest penalties this year; while the crew calling the NFC championship has called the most. The Rams offense was methodical running and passing throughout the game. The niners were stymied on offense most of it. The Rams went up 20-6 late in the third quarter. The Rams then gave up a touch down midway though the final quarter. McVay sensing a momentum shift after driving the ball just past midfield dialed up the play of his career facing a 4th and short . He made one poor choice after another, after the Rams dominated the Niners for the first half; and despite getting pushed around in the second half there were so many chances to put them away. He played scared and made some poor choices in that game. I hope he realizes it and when he says before the game, "you have to put teams away" he actually allows the team to do so.by hammer - RamsFootballFans.com
