The running backs didn’t get many chances. Of note though, Akers had a receiving TD! I haven’t watched the game again to see how instrumental they were in keeping Goff clean, play action plays a part , as do backs picking up blitzes. So perhaps the intangibles which aren’t usually considered in the grades should be, they may have raised that grade a little. But, passing 50 times and only beingby hammer - RamsFootballFans.com

Quick whistle, probably the wrong call, that Brady’s deflated ball was an incomplete pass. But someone please explain how the hold on Donald with Brady in the end zone was not called? How can a QB throw a pass into the back of a lineman and a call for passing to an ineligible receiver not be called called? Or is everyone behind the line of scrimmage eligible for a forward pass? It should have been grounding. Brady was under pressure pressure, still in the pocket, no receiver in the vacantly , the “throw” hit a linemen in the back and ball never made it to the line of scrimmage. It did cost the Rams a time out though, just to throw salt in the wound.by hammer - Game Time Forum

Looks a lot like the Super Bowl performance on offense. No adjustments made. Receivers are not winning one on ones. They are not getting separation or helping out by freelancing when a play breaks down. Hot reads suck. The Oline is out schemed. They needed to run more, but will have to throw in the second half. Too many defenders with a free run at Goff. Then Goff has not made good choices with tby hammer - Game Time Forum

Speed your points are sound; but, I disagree about going for it. If they kick the chip shot the best the hawks cold do with that final drive is tie with a TD and a 2 point conversion. The same points you state are even better when your up 8. Instead, that stop changed momentum and then the bend don’t break defense cost the Vikings big.by hammer - RamsFootballFans.com

If you watch the Rams this year you will notice they are lining up a center, two guards, and two tackles one on either side of the guards just like the 49ers. In fact so far this year its been every play. After being stymied last year McVay had to do something and it appears he has stolen these concepts from the 49ers who employ this set well over 99% of their plays. With that fumble; but, Speed that was a different kind of concern. He had a nice game, there are only so many touches on a team with so many weapons. The genius of it is that all those weapons stretch a defense during the game, they can't cover everything. It also makes it harder to game plan against the Rams. How do you explain his recent signing? Do you think that management didn't consider all his numbers and in particular his numbers over the last 9 games? Is he McVay's brother-in-law? I would suggest that management understands his value. Having weapons at each position is critical and as long as there is team production and each player is doing their job that Individual numbers week to week is nby hammer - RamsFootballFans.com

The empty stadium helped the hard count. I love tat the Cowboys got caught on the first snap. A good omen and a clear indication of their intent to creat pressure. Screen plays followed quickly. Ramsey was in his pocket, it was going to be a contested ball. The receiver extended his arm to get room and you could see Ramsey’s right shoulder moving back as he was being kept away. No acting. Ramsey didn’t fall away immediately or give up and as a result the push was prolonged by the receiver, which made it an easier call. Often a bump or single push is not noticed or called. Although the Rams defense played well in the second half, that last defensive stand really stood out. The constant pressure on Zak was tremendous on that final stand. The defense looked dominate and fresh. I didn't see the dreaded prevent defense, thank goodness. Perhaps correlating how the offensive line performed in these games may explain Goff's performances. I like most Here were Very disappointed In the inconsistency of the team last year. At the same time I was surprised they won or were even competitive in some games when the QB had no time and the RB's had no room to run. It's a team game. I agree with 43. I wouldn’t trade Kupp straight up for Cooks even before his concussion issues. Kupp Is a top notch slot receiver with upside. He just produces. He is very important to McVay’s offense. He has developed to be a security blanket for Goff. He gets separation, runs precise routes, finds open spots, blocks and moves the chains I’m certain Speed that in at least a few games I’ve heaby hammer - RamsFootballFans.com

It would be a huge mistake, he is a key to this offense, clutch and tough. Having said that, Jefferson may be able to more than adequately fill that position next year for much less. How many big contracts can they afford? If so they'd need to sign Reynolds, if he produces this year or find deep threat in the draft. Could of been the same injury that took him out limited him in games 1-8; any extra weight is very bad for lower body injuries. In any event if he’s healthy and motivated his play should be better, hopefully much better.by hammer - RamsFootballFans.com

Gurley was not the workhorse back he had been last season. His touches were down significantly. His production was certainly down last year. I am optimistic that we will see much improvement in the running department no matter who carries the rock!by hammer - RamsFootballFans.com

Deacon, didn't he invent the sack? Okay he coined it. If they counted em all we all know who the real all-time leader would be. His head slap was do devastating it had to be outlawed! He played with tremendous speed, power and reach. His violence and ferocity was unmatched. DEACON and AD on the same defensive line, one could dream. How much input does Kromer have in drafting and/or signing OL players? Some where not quite ready. Certainly developmental types. Then Injuries played a key role in the mess last year. Until I hear otherwise I feel like Kromer played the hand dealt to him; he coach them up, filled holes as they fell and when the Rams brought in some reinforcements for a depleted Ol they showed some late seasoby hammer - RamsFootballFans.com

The defense needs more 3 and outs per game. That would help field position, keep the defense fresher for the fourth quarter and give the offense more opportunities. In turn the offense could help the defense with some early leads, fewer 3 and outs and more sustained drives.by hammer - RamsFootballFans.com
