There is nothing wrong about drafting a running back early, especially if they are elite and plug and play. Play them on their rookie contract then let them sign elsewhere for a big contract and recoup a draft pick.Those rookie contracts are cheap and for a position that doesn’t half a long average career it’s a risky business to sign a second contract with a back.
