I'm not sure why some consider 16 games to be the breaking point? The league went from 12 to 14 to 16 game seasons all before medical and nutritional science had really evolved. Of the 4 preseason games, starters have rarely played in the 1st or 4th game so the preseason could easily just be 2 games. 2 more regular season games means 2 more paychecks for the players so I don't think they'lby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com

Inside the Top 100 voting process Posted by Mike Florio on May 5, 2013, 8:06 AM EDT Getty Images Every year at this time, NFL Network fills the post-draft void with a countdown of the top 100 players in the NFL, as determined by the players. But the players do some strange things, like putting Ravens receiver Jacoby Jones higher on the list than Seahawks receiver Percy Harvin. And when wby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
Not that I don't think other QB's, even Bortles, couldn't come in and excel under McVay. I think that's a very real possibility and one, if the NFL was a video game, would be worth considering. Paying Goff $30M+ a season or bringing in the next guy on a cheaper deal is something worth considering. While I am happy with Goff's production overall, I don't think he's irreplaceable. Since 2000, the Super Bowl loser has gone 8-8 or worse 7 times. It happens quite frequently. Just because a team is SB caliber one year doesn't mean it will carry over. Rams don't appear to be headed for struggles but no one knows until they start playing the games. Look at our own history. Did the 2001 Rams seem like they were going to go 7-9 in '02?
