QuoteSpeed_Kills can you imagine Prescott in this offense with McVay and all these receivers and this run game he would go bonkers actually you probably can’t imagine it because you upset when people say Dak or Wentz are better than GoffWell, if we're going to pay a guy a ton, might as well keep Goff. QuoteSpeed_Kills I just think he should be better than average with this coach in this system with these weapons And I agree he’s been better his completion percentage is way up but that because McVay has him throwing short a ton but now he seems to be struggling with longer passes. Quotemax How often do teams go out and get the next Tannehill? It just doesn’t happen but rarely. You want Fitzpatrick or Foles? Or Cousins? Or Garoppolo? You want to pay Dak $40M/yr? How about Bridgewater? That’s what’s usually out there in FA.And in McVay's offense, many of those guys COULD be the next Tannehill. That's my point. QuoteRamsdude Quotemoklerman You joke, but it can't even be said that the Rams have the best QB playing in Sofi Stadium. Goff needs to pick it up. Efficient is fine and it'll get you the Jeff Garcia award but Herbert is a playmaker and throwing TD's. Goff's numbers are akin to what 43 year old Brees is doing. Doesn't that argument work both ways? Because I don't think you can play that type of offense against good defenses. Those short passes don't turn into bigger gains against good defense the same way that they do against poor defenses. One concern I have against better defenses are the "easy" passes that McVay has used to get Goff off to efficient starts. Just mentioned this in another thread. Reynolds and Jefferson need to get more involved and the Rams need to spread the ball around more than they have.
