Going into the off season I felt that we needed to acquire a high caliber RB due to Williams running style and injury history. Last year the drop off was huge.
I was bummed going into the draft as the RB class was very weak. It seemed all the top RB had big holes in their game. The top guy from Texas (I think) was coming off an ACL and didn't even play. Corum was rated high but considered small even though his on field productivity was off the charts. After understanding the reasoning for picking him I am off the charts happy with this pick.
Production, Blocking for QB, Nose for endzone, Short but not really small, same style as Williams. A leader among leaders.
You got to love this kid and love how he fits on the team. With powerful really big offensive line those short guys are tough to find and this kid can find a hole and shoot through it. Yes this was a great pick and filled a need even if Williams doesn't get hurt there were many times he needed a blow and never got it.
Great Draft, Great Offseason, heck even got a kicker.
