We have one of those glass tops but found that with teenagers in the house they are impossible to keep looking clean.
Instead I'm going with gas (LP) this time.. which means I have to plumb our gas lines, (our heaters and water heaters are gas), to the Kitchen Island. NOT cheap but we think gas is SO much better to cook with. I considered induction but just too expensive.
