I grew up in the 50s and like to say life was full of absolutes then making it simpler. Maybe that's because there were fewer people-a lot fewer-and we had no frightening news at our remote control. Gosh, we didn't have a tv until mid 50s and there really wasn't a lot of stuff to see. But as population has increased exponentially our lives have become far more complicated. Whether that's good or not it is a fact and we better get accustomed to it and live with it. We're running out of water here on the west coast but builders keep developing and developing-why ? Because the population keeps growing and growing and it means $$$$$ to them. They buy off those in the gov't that could put a stop to it but whose going to refuse $$$$$. Capitalism was and likely is a wonderful idea but as life gets so very complicated with more and more people-I think we really do need more -here comes the dreaded word-regulation. We can't seem to do it ourselves.
