I guess it boils down to opinion...

but I think of ya'll and the bands I've been in as "cover bands", not necessarily "tribute" bands.. In my opinion, a tribute band only does songs from the one band they are doing the tribute to, whereas cover bands do an assortment of bands from - possibly - even different genres.. But, I can also see people saying that the bands I was in were a "tribute" to the 80's. although we only did "cover" songs..

If I ever perform again, that won't be in question as I'll do songs I've written, although they are in an "80's vibe"..
