I've told my story a few times...
Was a kid growing up just west of L.A. Was about 7, and still more into cartoons... one day while I had 'dibs' on the TV... my older bro came in, and didn't want to watch cartoons. So he just kinda checked the TV guide, and told me he wanted me to see something.... "just for a minute" he said. So he puts on a Ram game, and began to pull his 'child psychology, and started telling me things like.... "see, that guy there is the quarterback, and his name is Roman Gabriel. And all these big guys up front protect him so that he can throw the football to these other guys".
Then he started to explain what a Ram was, and how that white 'flyin' whirly jig' on the helmet was actually a Rams horn...
I was enthralled. And hooked...
My bro never followed the Rams nearly as much as I.... but he got his way on that day. And I'm grateful for it.... most of the time.
