My Brother and best friend being at my gathering for SB34. Both are gone now. Both knew just how much it meant to me. I was so glad they were there. That night, my Brother brought a Victory Cigar that he WAS gonna give me when we FINALLY beat the Niners (42 to 20) I told him then....WAY to early to declare a SB win. H e agreed but brought it back a few months later. I STILL have it and always will. My best friend, that night brought over the Gatorade cap with the Rams helmet on it, from 1975 or 76, that a BUUUUUUUUGGED the hell out of him for. But he had the complete collection. He brought that to me with a mini Rams helmet (From gumball machines) taped to the Gatorade cap. I still have that helmet on the cap on my fridge. The helmet just sits on the cap because the tape lost it's adhesiveness. But I cannot bring myself to change it. My best friend, who battled alcohol, depression, cancer and demons, intentionally wrecked his Mom's car, ultimately, killing himself in June 2012....almost exactly a year after my Brother passed. I STILL cannot shake the loss of those two. I never will. It makes me say again..........Rams games are deeper than JUST A GAME.
