I was trying to remember from when I was a kid when we first got Air Conditioning

we didn't have it when I was real young , I was like 8 or 10 years old when we finally got central air

but I remember those early years sleeping with the windows open and fans in every window

but one thing I remember very well , hanging out on the porch

when I was a kid , my grandparents house was only 3 houses away from ours , on the same block , and my grandfather had 6 brother and sisters , well , 1 brother and 5 sisters that all lived within 10 blocks of our house

so nightly gatherings were pretty much a nightly thing with great aunts and uncles and miscellaneous cousins
