but I had long hair before the 80's, and I still have long hair, so I wasn't restricted to long hair in just the 80's like most guys.. Hair definitely became a priority in the 80s - if you didn't have cool hair, you just weren't cool.. and, yeah, hir spry and mousse were at a premium.. Hair spray-wise it was Aquanet in the white can with pink accents.. closest thing to super glue on the planet that was made for your hair.. we called it Nuclear Hold..
After shows, I 'd take a shower and stick my head under the water and the water running off my hair was just white cuz there was so much hair spray in it.. I did an act where I blew up my guitar while playing it - ended up with second degree burns once, but set my hair of fired several times due to the hair spray in it.. Was fun tho - definitely more exciting than sitting around..
Never have had the desire to cut it all off.. its who I am, now.. only guy in town that didn't whack it all off in the late 80's early 90's.. I thin kI've inspired a few guys to grow it out again, but I don't necessarily advise anyone to do that - its just too much work..
Friendship is like peeing your pants.. Everybody can see it, but only you can feel the warmth..
