.....I completely left that out..., and that's is a very key point. When I was full into Atkins...I didn't just crave carbs, but I never... ever... felt like exercising. I wouldn't say "no" energy, but I would say "low" energy. I didn't care for that at all. Also..., I require a pre-work out meal a little before going to the gym. Not much, but it must contain carbs. A half an apple, or a small cup of oatmeal meant the difference between being at the gym for 1.5 to 2 hours, or burning out at about 1 hour.
Our bodies need that energy.
