Med experts are all over the map when it comes to a "game changer" vaccine. The epidemiologists that I respect and trust are saying 2023 at the earliest. During this time it's hard to believe we could shut down our businesses again-although we are now seeing an enormous growth in hospitalizations due to COVID. And that is the key not just increased numbers of those diagnosed with it as part of that can come from more testing. If we are going to open up then we have to have mandatory mask wearing laws. Unfortunately for whatever reasons that has become political. Too bad because there are countries such as New Zealand where everyone wears a mask-no matter your political beliefs-and they have for the most part eradicated the virus (no new cases, no new hospitalizations due to the virus). You wear a mask there no matter if your a macho person or a weenie. What people who say we are losing the economy are right but they don't realize it will be far worse if we start living the same care free life we did before. That is what will REALLY impact the economy.

when you google "covid19 vaccine" most articles are talking about ready for market vaccines by as early as Oct 2020, even Dr. Fauci who has been very cautious with his statements says early 2021.
even if they aren't 100% effective (most vaccines aren't ) and just prevent illness rather than infection that will be good enough for most of the word to get back to pre-pandemic life much sooner than later....most of the reports so far on the major vaccines have been very promising. hoping and praying one of them if not all of them work!
