I think the thought around here is its getting so blasted hot that the virus can't survive the heat.. but, they're obviously mistaken about that.. Plus once they started re-opening restaurants - even at 25% capacity - I think people said "screw it" and stopped being careful..
I just had a doctor appt yesterday and in the lobby, before you go through the door to the clinic, was a huge bottle of sanitizer with a note attached saying you HAD to use it before entry (with a nice camera set up on it) and masks were required or you couldn't enter the door, followed by an immediate temperature check once in the door, followed by a 5-6 question interrogation.. some people are still doing it right..
I wore the mask the whole time.. funny thing was a really cute new nurse, kept asking me if I was famous.. lol.. So, I played along, since I couldn't remove the mask.. that's the most fun I've had in three months..
I went to a surgeon recently and same thing. Sanitizer, masks required, temperature measured, distancing. (Good news: I won't need surgery at this point.)
I still see people arguing against using masks. And they're arrogant about it, like they are in on the big truth and others are sheep.
