at this point I'm almost ready to just buy another Mac and use this one as a photo storage machine.. but that's another $5k or so down the drain to replace a perfectly good rocket of a computer that, for some reason, won't allow me to backup jpg's.. seriously, I've never heard of anything so stupid in my life..

The only thing I can think of is the Toshiba, even tho is showing a full TB available, seriously needs to be defragged, but I've only used it to backup stuff and have rarely deleted anything, or written over anything.. it hasn't even been plugged in in 2 years, probably..

The Seagate work external drive is a beast of a drive.. you hafta plug it into AC AND USB 3, s plenty of power and the blue USB 3 light is singing.. and it was transferring files at the speed of light, but now has crawled to about 20kb a second.. just like the Toshiba.. and here we sit.. over and over.. day after day.. it'd be easier to redo all the beaches and dives and X shows and shoo tnew pictures than it is to backup a wad of jpgs...
