Have you watched JoJo Rabbit yet

yet , another kind of war movie , where 1917 was shot as one continuous shot , JoJo Rabbit is a WWII film seen through the eyes of a 10 year old boy

I.m sure most people have at least seen the trailer by now , and it looks kinda like a screwball dark comedy , a 10 year old boy with Hitler as his imaginary friend , does sound a little screwy

but , it's a little more then just that

JoJo , a boy who's whole life so far had been under Hitlers rule , so he has known nothing but the Nazi propaganda , like alot of German children of WWII , probably never even knew his father , who had gone off to war , probably never to return , and is raised by only his mother

JoJo wants nothing more then to be a good German , and to do his duty , for his country, he even cried for days when his mother told him his father wasn't blonde...............lol

also , remember , his imaginary friend Hitler , is that as seen through the eyes of a 10 year old boy

at least at the beginning

yes , the movie is a dark comedy , as there are some pretty funny moments , ( we need somebody to walk the clones..............LOL )

but don't let those moments fool yea , as there are some very dark , and even disturbing moments in this film

the movie takes place at the very end of WWII , and things are starting to go bad for Germany , and then JoJo finds out his mother has been hiding a Jewish girl in the upstairs of their house

At first , JoJo want's to turn the Jewish girl over to the Nazi's , but then realizes how much trouble his mother would get into

as the movie goes along , he gets to know the Jewish girl better , and starts to question everything he was taught about Jews , caught between doing what he was always taught since birth , or , going against everything he was taught

and we see this through out the movie , as the movie goes along , we see his imaginary friend Hitler change from being a little goofy at the beginning of the movie to a much darker version of himself
