No question about it. It has all the same elements of any addiction. And your right adults are just as guilty. There appears to be a necessity to always be "connected" with something. Some -including myself-look forward to being alone without something to do. For many others that's like being in hell. Anyway not sure what this has to do with aggressive behavior. Ironically, that characteristic may just be related to football itself in that it is the most aggressive sport out there. And it now is the most popular sport in America. I'm told that there are more domestic abuse cases reported on Super Bowl day than any other day of the year. Who knows? I don't/
