How many digital photos I have on my iMac, laptop, and phone....... so I'm not going to tell you.

I'm very hesitant to delete photos... even those that aren't very good. They may be 'unique' in some way so I hang on to them.
As a result my photo libraries are out of control... and there is no 'easy' fix. Every so often I'll take a few minutes to try to catch up by deleting some. I'll delete maybe 100 then get bored with it and quit. By the time I get back around to deleting a bunch I've added a bunch so I NEVER catch up.
I loved when my photo app added a duplicate recognizer but frankly it didn't help much. Duplicates, though I have them, are not my main problem - my main problem is just the number of photos I have.
What I am planning its to begin archiving.... I just don't know which criteria I should archive by.... "date" seems logical but ehhhh... not a perfect solution. I don't think there is a good answer. - JamesJM
