Not a cloud in the sky today and had a pair of the glasses to view it with.. we got to about 95% coverage here in my hometown - there was only this Itty bitty sliver of sunlight still showing.. The sliver was on the left side of the sun.. as the moon moved, the sliver went across the topof the sun, then to the right side.. then sun light slowly got larger and larger until there was no eclipse at all..
Lotta people out watching it at Sheppard AFB today.. I stayed in the stairwell and watched out a window, so I didn't hafta deal with the masses wayching.. I watched it about an hour..
The only thing surprising was that, even with 95% of the sun blocked by the moon, it really got no darker outside..mi remember In a previous eclipse, it got much darker outside.. today really didn't get any darker, from what I could tell.. maybe if I walked out before it started, then saw it immediately at 95% coverage..
Friendship is like peeing your pants.. Everybody can see it, but only you can feel the warmth..
