(Message getting cut off) I forget how to fix that.
We drove to upstate NY to see totality
my daughter is 13 and I wanted to make sure she will see it.
Curiously it was perfectly clear yesterday and clear now but there is supposed to be major cloud cover for 2 hours EXACTLY when the eclipse takes place and then clear up. Tomorrow is also supposed to be nice.
My question
and I am hoping someone has experience with this
because the internet is zero help
but do I need eclipse glasses with total cloud cover? I likely wont be able to see the eclipse with them on because you literally cannot see anything with them on unless you are looking at a very bright light.
And if it were just me I would probably just use my best judgement but my daughter
well I care a lot more about her. So when she says I cant see anything, do I tell her to take off the glasses?
Also why does the internet fail me in these situations? Am I not searching properly?
For us it is just a family thing. We made a little vacation out of it. No party, no special food. The plan is to find a nice spot here and just relax.
