They may sand the roads one or twice a year for a few days, but sand is way better than salt.. I did misspeak on not spending a penny on repairs..
I have a standard transmission.. On the clutch pedal there is a hole that had a ceramic piece in the hole that actuall ymakes contact with whatever temporarily put it in neutral while the pedal is depressed.. That ceramic piece disintegrated and fell out, just leaving the hole in the pedal, which never made contact with whatever puts it in neutral.. I thought my clutch had burned out..
I found the hole and taped a US quarter over the hole and it worked like a charm.. I taped that quarter there in about 2013, or so, so that quarter has been in place working for about ten years.. So, as you can see, I have spent 25 cents on repairing the Frontier in the 11 years I've owned her...
