My son and his wife work for an organization, (I can never remember who it is), that works for the military.... education system. They receive, I think, nearly full access to anything offered on the base... groceries, gas, post office, etc. There are some restrictions but few, and I don't know what they are.
So my question... I assume it's the same for you? And if so is that where you do at least some of your shopping?
Back when I was in the Army the prices on the base were considerably lower than in the civilian world, (nice benefit)... but I don't think that's the case today?
When I visit my son I go into... I think they call it a BX now? The militaries version of Costco. From what I've seen the prices there are no better and often worse than an actual Costco. But maybe that's because my son is in England... I don't know. - JamesJM
