What was different coaching-wise? Did they make a change, and now they're not repeating that? We beat them straight up. So the coached do know how to get it done. The players made plays, and if they do on Sunday, we'll win again.
It was only one win out of the last 8 and they have already beaten us again since then.
The NFCCG was an awesome win. Good coaching AND good player execution that got us that win.
However, even with the better play calling and execution we still had to fight to the last minute to steal victory from the jaws of defeat! It wasn't a "convincing" win or a "statement" win saying we finally know how to beat them.
I just am not very confident that we can beat them again (at least not consistently) without changing the things that we do on O or D. IMO, a BETTER game plan will go a long way to cover up any bad execution that could happen.
Something has to change and I think McVay knows it too. He will be more aggressive this time. He will run some jet sweeps, misdirection's, 12 personnel, etc and it will keep them off balance.
As for the D, I don't expect us to change the "off coverage" that Jimmie G loves so much. It makes him look like a HOF'er! lol
I do think Morris will be a little more aggressive though since this is a pretty big game.
Here's to good execution, good play calling and us blowing out those pukes this week!!!
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
