I don't think Shanahan has some scheme we can't stop and McVay is a 'stubborn fool'. What I see are missed tackles, bad interceptions and our guys being dominated on both sides of the LOS. I don't know how you coach that away. For some reason our guys seem to freeze up and vomit on themselves when we play this team. Some kind of mental block. Who knows. Our schemes work, if the execution is there.
So who is responsible for players missing tackles, playing uninspired, turning the ball over? It's same old story for 3 1/2 years with many different players. Only one common denominator and that is McVay.
He is control of adjusting the game plan ie; adding more jet sweeps, misdirections and outside runs and not continuously running into the teeth of that D over and over again.
He could also advise Morris to "mix up" the coverage's more against the whiners since they seem to be able to beat it if we play it every down.
IMO, the buck stops with McVAY more than the players.
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
