Shanny's Niners losers of their last couple of games know the best way to become the media's favorite NFC team is to beat the Rams again. A loss however gets the talking heads singing a very different tune. So what better way to ensure that the Rams keep it the same than by stating that it is my philosophy against his, we never change. This if McVay is a narcissist means he can't change his game plan because that is tantamount to admitting Shanny's way is better. However winning should be the only consideration, being able to adjust one's gameplan makes one smarter not weaker. I hate the Patriots but I admire how Billicheat will pull out a gameplan he hasn't run all year in a Super Bowl. While McVay is so stubborn the Athletic podcast for the Rams is named after the one formation McVay sticks with over 93% of the time.

I also think that maybe McVay thinks it's not his "system" that is getting beat by the whiners...it's the players not executing his "system" correctly.

It also applies to the Defense. Shanny KNOWS he will be seeing 8-10 yard cushions every play so all week long they work on plays that take advantage of that and it works like a charm. What would happen if suddenly Jimmie G had to hold the ball for a second or two longer due to tighter coverage? Would he be good enough to beat us deep? I doubt it but we might never know.


It's an "open book" on how to beat Jimmie G. too bad McVay forgot to read it!

I can't imagine how much we would win by if McVay suddenly changed his play calls against them to keep them guessing and also have the D start playing a bit more aggressive. But alas we may never know because McVay and Morris will keep doing EXACTLY what Shanny expects and wants them to do!
