about not getting enough targets: Jackson and Woods.

Neither is with the team this year.

Just an observation.

Yes, I've been alluding to this (moreso with Woods).

The similarities are that both receivers went to the HC to voice their concerns un private and respectfully.

Where they are dissimilar is that Jackson had a true competitor for his role in the offense (Van Jefferson). And it turns out that, at that stage in their respective careers, Jefferson could do more (without fear of injury) allowing him to stay on the field more - which is what McVay covets in WR's.

I don't believe that Jackson was released because he was a malcontent, but rather, he got beat out.

This is not the case for Woods who CLEARLY had a role(s) on the offense that couldn't be duplicated by anyone else on the team (aside from Kupp). And because he arrived at the same time that McVay did and immediately grasped his offense, Woods knew when it (the offense) was operating efficiently...and when it was not.

I believe that it was more this, than Woods wanting "more touches" for selfish reasons. If he was being selfish (as many posters alluded to last season), why on earth would he lobby the team to acquire a (IMO) better talent at the position (OBJ) who would've surely relegated him to WR3 status once he got fully healthy and learned the offense?

As you pointed out, though...the packaging may be irrelevant as the contents were the same - questioning of McVay/Stafford. And he/they don't like that.
