In no particular order…
Keeping 3rd QB Perkins. A waste of a valuable roster slot. Only thing that halfway makes sense is if they plan on dangling Perkins as trade bait for a desperate QB needy team that just had an injury?
Keeping Jake Funk. Why? He’s not an effective RB and surely his ST play could be done by another more promising player.
Keeping Bobby Evans. Gawd! Does he possess incriminating photos of McVay? The guy lacks ‘want to’ and that’s unforgivable.
Three VERY promising players were cut so that Rams could keep these guys. Players that might not pass through waivers and will haunt us on another team for years. Hopefully not on 49ers or Seahawks. Arrrrrgh!
All the other cuts were understandable and made sense to me. Sigh…
Just playing devils advocate:
Perkins can help prepare our defense for The Kyler Murray, Trey Lance type QBs we will face.
Bobby Evans has been cross trained to play OG and OT where Acuri hasn’t
Jake Funk is one of those players ST coordinator Joe D loves
Also all of these guys are inexpensive to keep on the roster, which fits the team build model so they can be so top heavy with the salaries. I think Acuri is on the practice squad and he may leapfrog Evans at some point after he is proficient at guard and tackle. Just my thinking but you have very valid points.
