Out of Evans, Funk and Perkins the only surprise to me was Evans. Perkins would have been picked up off of waivers and Right now Wolford who tore off a fingernail may be a question from an availability standpoint. Also it is not totally clear who is the Number 2 QB. As for Funk I agree he hasn't shown much in preseason but he was running behind a 2nd/3rd string line and sometimes against regulars. Funk does a little bit of everything and of course is good at special teams. Lucky for him we didn't have a lot of competition for the 4th running back.
I was sorry to see Garret go and hope he ends up on practice squad. Garret though was not a surprise.
Evans for me was the big surprise I thought they would keep Acuri as the developmental guy with Hav's & Edwards in their contract years. Plus Evans has shown nothing.
I still think you can pick up a back to replace Akers/Henderson on the cheap if they one of them get hurt and will be out a long time. Williams might be okay as the #2 back but he is totally unproven at this level and may not even be active on game day.
Thomas the Kid from FSU was a nice find. As was McCutcheon & Hummell. Snead did a good job shopping at the bargain bin.
Cutting Harris was a mild surprise but hopefully he will join Garret and Acuri on the practice Squad.
