His first season had some ups and downs. Overall quite good but then he got serious and quit with the risky behaviors and played his best ball of his career in the playoffs.
So from here these media types need to understand they're seeing the player change the storyline. This happens too, just not usually with older QBs. But it is undeniable that he's poised for a huge season with his weapons in that offense and there's no 500lb gorilla hanging on his back. This is going to be him playing loose and at his best in year two with more mastery of the scheme and mind-meld with McVay.
Last year at this moment the question was can he win games. Think about that one. It was a legit question too. Then it was can he win a playoff game. And so on to the moment he held the Lombardi. Now it's whether he is a top tier QB. This is the media getting their heads around it in steps.
If he wins another Super Bowl it will be whether he's a Hall of Fame QB. And so it goes.
