In some ways Snead is a throwback.
He trusts his eyes. He believes that the issue is how good of a football player a guy is, is more important than any other single factor.
I think the higher the round, the less the metrics matter. The lower the round, the more the analytics matters.
But in the end, playing the game well seems to be the "metric" that Snead looks at the most.
