Respectfully, I think that’s an overly pessimistic view, RFL. It flies in the face of 5 years of evidence.
This strategy has been working for 5 years now, including 2 SB appearances with one win.
As I look at this roster I see elite players at the most important positions and with 3 or more good years in each of them.
Stafford
Akers
Kupp
OBJ
Woods
AD
Floyd
Miller
Ramsey
Gay
Hekker (finished strong after coverage unit was ‘fixed’)
Higbee is a step below elite as is Powell but not by much.
Big Whit’s replacement is already on the roster in Boom although he will need to be extended.
Reloading actually looks a lot less complicated than it did last year at this time if you ask me. If they want, the Rams can create $60M in new cap space. Some say even more, if needed.
As we look around the league the Rams ‘needs’ seem minuscule compared to the other contenders in the NFC.
At some point the strategy naysayers need to not only concede that this Snead strategy is working, but that it’s kicking butt!
