Your point is that his offensive approach cost the Rams about 4 games per year finishing 6-10 on average for a team that was worthy of 10 or 11 wins.

I do think His Donald and Gurley picks were huge and his special teams had some mojo. Defense wasn't bad either. He had some B's and C's on different parts of coaching, but that offense had the ugly F with some historically bad performances. I think that year the team finished 32nd in just about everything offensive category produced historically bad offense, not just for that one year and to boot it got worse each year, not better.

He also ruined Todd Gurley's career sending him into a pile of 22 players play after play right up the gut. Sometimes there was so much clutter, the play clock would run out trying to get all the people off the pile after a Gurley run. I have never seen such a crowded field.

And now, when I see the lack of appreciation for McVay because something bad happens on one of the pass plays in the game, I just shake my head in disbelief that the Fisher Ball love is still alive.

To be a champion, you have to think what could go right vs what could go wrong.
