Exceedingly fine post, DP
And appreciate some x and o work from Youngblood, too.
Regardless of whether that ends up being Robber or Cover 6, etc......the Rams are lacking blitz packages.
Personally, I'd like to see them overload the LOS. At least the threat of going zero puts a QB into a hot read.
Right now?
I'm about as disenchanted with Morris as one could be.
We've being noting all season that this was going to blow up on us, and that it was probably just a matter of time.
Agreed Leaf! I think most of us saw a defensive problem from the first game on. Bad tackling, soft coverage's, giving up long drives,no defensive adjustments, etc. Most of us are not surprised by the D. Disappointed? Yes. Surprised? No.
At the time, the Offense was on fire so it really didn't matter much but it sure does now, doesn't it? lol
If Morris really seems to have trouble with coming up with creative game plans and using his players to their best advantage. Like you, I would love to see a zero blitz now and then and maybe some better "disguising" of the D pre-snap. I just don't think Morris is the guy to do it.
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
