I am tired of the Rams getting knocked around in games.
The Rams have elite talent on the defense, the Rams are not using that elite talent the best way possible. Donald and Ramsey are once-in-a-lifetime types of players and now you add Miller. This defense should be all about pressure and getting after the other team, not read and react...not wait and see.. They need to be in your face and attacking if not all the time at least give me 30% more trying to impose their will on the O.
The Rams have way more talent than most teams on both sides of the ball.
The Coaches need to do a better job using this talent. 3 HOF players in their prime, I would say at 32 Miller isn't washed up. Floyd is a stud as well.
Can anyone explain why they are doing things the way they are on D? Can someone explain why they continue to do things this way? Why doesn't the game plan change to fit the team they are playing? It's like Morris set a game plan to start the year and now he runs the same trash out there week in and week out and expects it to work or get better somehow.
I went back and watched the Niner game all 22 again and it makes me sick. The game plan was garbage on D and there were no adjustments of any kind. They didnt disrupt anything the Niners wanted to do. The Rams handed them first downs by playing that soft off zone trash that Morris just freakin loves.
He is failing in his role, I can see things that make zero sense. I know Football, I have played it and coached it and loved it for most of my life. The way the Rams are going about things on D just inst making sense, regardless of the scheme and it being close to what Bums son and BS did last year they arent executing it as well and I simply think and this is just my opinion as some guy second hand watching and monday morning qbing it.....Morris is wasting this talent and he is letting some really simple fixes and changes slip through his fingers.
You simply dont let your CBs stand on the goalline when the other team is at your ten yard line, get up and bump and do some blitzing and for the love of gawd try and disrupt what the other team does well...take something away...dont sit and watch the other team play and hope they get a penalty or drop a pass...quit waiting for it and go make it happen...the Rams D has the talent to dominate if he would just let them go attack more often..go attack dude...this passive crap is rubbing off and in the last two games the rams have had their lunch money taken and they have been bullied...arent these coaches and players sick of getting kicked around.
Morris needs to start attacking and changing things up and actually adjusting to what the other team is doing and start trying to take things away.
